December 12, 2008 - With
the location of our long-lost brother, Carl Walter Schmidt (now
Alex Palo, Sr.) just before Christmas, 2008, our family of six
siblings (five brothers and one sister) - after nearly seventy
years - is once again complete.
The
surviving children of Carl A. and Loretta B. (Hummer) Schmidt, and all the many nieces, nephews, cousins (and cousins and
more cousins) all rejoice and breathe a collective sigh of
satisfaction, relief and, for some of us, exhaustion.
