My Book Review for the week

The Cover of "The Homework Machine" by Dan GutmanMy book review for this week is one of the very good books by Dan Gutman, my personal favorite: The Homework Machine. He also wrote Honus & Me

The Homework Machine is about a new boy in school named Brenton and the place he's moving to—the Grand Canyon. But it's hard in a new school trying to make new friends and a new teacher, so its not so easy for Brenton Damagatchi. He isn't too social so he won't make friends that easily.

Next is Sam Dawkins but he goes by "Snikwad." That's his name backwards but for short its just Snik. Sam's father is in the Air Force and had to move to the Grand Canyon like Brenton. He was a popular kid in his other school so he thinks he will probably be cool in this school.

Third in line is Kelsey Donnelly who is the cool girl in this book and she is with all the other cool kids like Heather and probably someone else nobody knows about. Kelsey likes to stay cool so her mom says "If your grades improve I'll let you dye your hair pink."

Last, but never least, is the panic freak, A-student Judy Douglas. She was the smartest kid in class until Brenton came. He comes with A+'s and becomes the smartest kid in the 5th grade.

I Liked this book very much! It's an exciting, adventurous and funny book! Will they ever become friends? I hope you read this great book to find out.

Here are a few pictures that my Pa took when he and my Grammie took my brother and I on a trip to Niagra Falls in August 2007
